Scope of Directive (EU) 31/2014 of 26 February 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of non-automatic weighing instruments
Scope of application Legal metrology is the science of measurement. It is very important for trade and our daily lives. No market can function without proper measurement and without common units of measurement. EU legislation on legal metrology is one of the pillars of the single market for products. EU requirements aim to promote technological innovation, health protection, public safety, environmental protection and fair trade.

Scope of application:• This amends Legislative Decree No 517 of 29 December 1992, and indicates the Italian standards, which implement the harmonised European standards on non-automatic measuring instruments. • Annex A contains a summary list, the essential requirements and the tables necessary to comply with the Precision Classes.
